China to build more data centers
China's new infrastructure development strategy is expected to accelerate the growth of the country's data centers, according to Thursday's Science and Technology Daily.
"The new infrastructure development brought great opportunities to the data center field," said Cao Junwei, deputy director with the Research Institute of Information Technology of Tsinghua University.
The Chinese leadership has underscored expediting "new infrastructure" development to boost industrial and consumption upgrading and catalyze new growth drivers.
Represented by the data center and intelligent computing center, the computing power infrastructure has been listed in the new infrastructure strategy.
